Some people plan a fishing trip and others try catching fish in the dessert. Personally I prefere to stay the course and fish in deeper waters. However to each there own.

Imagine planning a fishing trip. All the plans, efforts, waiting and off course the excitment of actually fishing. Maybe the trip is short, maybe it’s long. Maybe the weather is great, maybe it’s not so great.

Even so, what fun is it to plan a trip, take the journey and then when you get there, turn around and come home. The fish are still there.

There is a private joke in the title of this post. Only a few know what that title means. However to one I say this. Just be who you are and who God created you to be. There were four Beatles, one Walt Disney and there is one of you.

Yes you! You can make a difference in the life of another person. How? Simply by loving them, through compassion, with encouragement and by simply reaching out to those in need.

You see, we all can make a difference.

There is nothing more precious than family. However many times life’s distractions can overtake a family. Things come forth, schedules get tight, responsibilities become overwhelming and before we know it, the family is overwhelmed and neglected. If that’s happening to you, stop and take a deep breath. Take sometime and go to the park and have a family picnic, visit some friends with the family, go out to dinner, rent a movie and most importantly just spend time together as a family. Don’t let life’s bumps overwhelm you. Make time and take time to be a family.

Just imagine the ways that you can encourage your child. Taking time to read a book to them, spending time at the table doing arts and crafts together, taking a walk together and sharing in all of the beauty, flying a kite together, taking a special trip to the store for some goodies, sharing a bowl of ice cream…

As parents, we can make a huge difference is our children’s life, especially in the earier years. What it all boils down to is “love” and taking the time to express it.
